All About the Bloke
After working in London as a stage actor, dancer, and also a television presenter for the BBC, Terry joined the British Royal Marine Commandos at age 20 and served for four years. He often shares with his audiences how the transition from dancer to Commando wasn’t so easy!
Terry says, “My Grandad, a World War II Veteran, shared some good advice with me right before I enlisted. He said, 'If you can’t take a joke, don’t join up.”' When asked what that meant his grandfather replied, “Maintain a sense of humor. If you remember that, then no matter what happens in life, while in the military or as a civilian, you’ll always come out ahead.” Terry’s gregarious personality exudes this philosophy whether he is coaching a small executive group or onstage presenting in front of a large audience.
Terry knows that the ability to read people is beneficial in all aspects of life. He says, “Sharing my knowledge with others on body language and non-verbal communication is something that I find truly enjoyable!”
Besides being a NRA certified Pistol Instructor, Terry is known as a competitor on season 4 of History Channel’s popular show Top Shot. He says, “Taking my wife and three kids to the shooting range is another of my passions! This is a GREAT country, but one of the things that makes it exceptional is the Constitution’s 2nd Amendment rights! As a U.S. Citizen, I take those rights very seriously and consider it a blessing to live in this country every day.”
