Terry’s interest in “reading” people began at an early age and was brought about because of a physically abusive father. “Childhood wasn’t easy because of my Dad and I spent as much time trying to predict his behavior as I did avoiding him. The silver lining to my childhood was that I became very adept at picking up on non-verbal signals, especially those that pertained to threatening behavior.  At such a young age, I didn’t know exactly what it was I was tuning into, I just presumed my instincts were really good.” As a Royal Marine Commando, Terry further developed these skills with elite training and then continued researching the topic of body language, facial expressions and non-verbal communication upon leaving the military.

Body language is a fascinating subject.  Whether it is in a professional or personal setting, non-verbal signals reveal what is really going on inside the mind of an individual.  Terry teaches that consciously and subconsciously you and those around you give off a variety of signals during any interaction.  Knowing what is really being felt and not said can be advantageous in every situation.
